Case Study - Yara

Pollen had worked with Phosyn in Pocklington, East Yorkshire for some time when they were bought by the Norwegian chemical giant Yara, in 2006. We were soon asked to produce some exciting new media for them. Yara wanted to showcase some of the Phosyn portfolio, rebranded to Yara Vita, in an interactive DVD-ROM. We thought this was an excellent idea!
However, Yara wanted to show HD video throughout the project. The DVD-ROM also had to play on any sales agents laptop, or clients computer. Old or new. High or Low spec. England or Europe, Europe or Asia, Asia or The Americas. It had to work. We were a little nervous at the prospect, but after shooting the video and working with the Yara marketing department to ensure corporate identity was maintained within the interactive program, we delivered a fully working English version. Yara was very happy.
So happy, that not long afterwards they came back to us and asked if we could translate it to 3 other languages - French, Spanish and Portugese (Brazillian). These versions also had to be included on the same interactive. We delivered this little over a month later, and Yara were impressed. Finally Mandarin was added in 2009, translated, recorded and dubbed to 24 video segments in under 3 weeks.
Over on the right we have placed multiple video segments (Wetting Agents) for you to see what we mean. Select one (or two together if you've a fast broadband connection) and hear the professional VOs in the relevant languages for this one segment of the 24 produced for Yara. All the professional readers heard here are available for hire to voice your work.
Yara have been a happy client of ours for some time. Read the comments supplied by Joe Cole....
What Yara Said...
"As a manufacturer and supplier of specialist agricultural fertilisers to over 65 countries worldwide, our company has always offered comprehensive support to those distributing and using our products. The tools and applications we have used to support the business have been based on various media types, including video and audio.
Pollen Studios were initially selected during the mid 1990’s to carry out the more sophisticated video and multimedia work for us as they were a small company very local to our office with a sound reputation.
A strong business relationship has since developed over the years and the quality of the work has been such that even after our company was purchased by Yara (the world’s largest fertiliser company) in 2006 and integrated into their huge global structure, Pollen Studios are still used today, not just by our office here in the UK, but also by the Yara head office in Oslo."
