Commissioned in late 2021 to deliver a striking mission statement for the University of Leicester by McCann.
The project had a specific brief, a tight turnaround and required filming on location over a single day with 6 different setups and high expectations for the quality of image.
We assisted with pre production and location scouting, before looking for areas we could add some value within the storyboard and script.
Each character needed time to deliver their statement with each shot requiring consistent lighting and framing that would capture the eye and deliver a bold, exciting film.
We shot on Red Helium and utilised an autocue and a mixture of steadicam and tripod setups, with a separate audio technician to monitor a combination of lav and boom mics.
The edit needed to be well paced, allow each personality to be revealed whilst the narrative to progress, and each line to have some impact.
After the shoot was completed, we turned the edit round in just 3 days with a colourist working over the weekend to ensure the project was delivered on time for the client’s launch date.
