3D 360 for Kyla La Grange

Earlier this year we were asked by Visualise to assist them with a music video for Kyla La Grange. The concept was very ambitious - the first of its kind in the UK, and involved 3D and mono deliveries. The music video was directed by De La Muerte films, and involved backing dancers, high frame rate filming, modified speeds for filming, a huge set and even trained horses. The shoot was a pleasure and one that we provided filming, DIT, initial grade and editing for. The mono version of the film is embedded below, but will only work on specific browsers (chrome, firefox, opera or internet explorer) and supported smartphones via the youtube application. In late July/August, the stereoscopic version should be launched via a custom application developed by Inception. We shot the music video on dual Red Epic Dragons, with DIT work performed with Shotput Pro. On set grading was performed between RedCine X and DaVinci Resolve, with assembly edits and still frames for reference exported via FCPX.

Partnered with Paragon Creative

We delivered film production, audio production and software production services for Cheshire Fire Services' new training centre in Lymm - Safety Central, working under Paragon Creative. The client had a special idea for a showpiece film for their visitor centre; they wanted to show visitors a dual narrative film that showed how important safety at home and online was. We created two films for them that were almost identical in length, setting and action, aside from the actions of the main characters. This would allow visitors to watch a bad day film, then watch a good day to learn from everyday mistakes. All filming took place on location in Cheshire in an intensive week that utilised multiple locations, indoor and outdoor, sunny and rainy... We supplied all cast and crew, filmed using Red Epic W at 8K, handled on-set DIT and assembly edits before completing post production at our studio. Using an online/offline process we edited using proxy files before relinking to the full 8K media for grading. Each film was delivered with a bespoke soundtrack in stunning quality. Bespoke software allows learning to be tracked by Cheshire Fire Service staff during and after a visit. Please contact us for a private link to the films.

Throughout 2016-7

we have worked with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service to deliver a stunning series of films for their new training centre in Bury. We worked closely with their operations crew throughout the filming period, gathering stunning footage with our Red Epic Dragon and Red Epic W cameras at 6K and 8K resolution, including sequences during house fires, industrial fires, car crashes and a dramatic water rescue. Some fantastic actors were used to help drive the narrative; all highly experience from film and TV - Sally CarmanJames Quinn, Samantha Siddall and Ciaran Griffiths. The main film is compiled without any cuts, using camera movements and extras as a means of moving between scenes - similar in concept to the film Birdman.

The film was delivered at 4K and is projected via a triple projector blend with a 5.1 surround sound mix. Some of the sequences are filmed with anamorphic lenses giving stunning lighting flares. The film is played inside the theatre, before and after which, visitors utilise our custom created software that tracks learning and knowledge retention, and enables GMFRS to download spreadsheets to assist with analysis.
